This is a group for anyone, whatever their ability, to have fun with the process of sketching. In the summer months we meet at various outdoor venues, recent venues incude Lanercost, Hammonds Pond, Talkin Tarn and Bitts Park. For winter we have indoor meetings to pursue a variety of drawing (and possibly painting) projects. This gives us an opportunity to try different media, techniques, and subjects.
Sketching is about the process of looking closely at the world around us, and being engrossed in trying to commit something of what we see to paper. Hopefully we learn and improve a little, but also enjoy doing it.
We are a very sociable group and generally unwind at the end of our sessions with a cuppa and a chat.
