Our membership subscription lets you attend all our monthly meetings and participate in the activities of any interest groups. Prospective members are allowed ONE free “taster” visit to a meeting. Come along – you will be sure of a warm welcome!

The annual membership subscription is £12.00 per person beginning on the 1st September. Those joining between 1^st July and 31^st August receive two months free membership as they will not need to renew until the following year. Associate membership is offered to those who are already a full member of another U3A with two different levels:

• members of a North Cumbria Network u3a are allowed to join one interest group without an extra cost
• other members or those wishing to join more than one interest group are charged a fee of £8.50 per person per year

A completed Membership Application Form is required for both of these.

Some interest groups will make additional charges to cover the costs of running the group.

Download an application form and either bring the completed form along to a monthly meeting or send by post or email. Additional information is given on the form, along with both postal and email addresses.

Beacon Record for existing Members

Beacon is the u3a Membership Management System where your records are securely stored and from where we can send out group mailings securely. The system also provides a facility to manage our u3a finances.

As an existing member you have access to your own record on the system. You can use our Members Portal to see the personal information we hold for you. You need your logon details to do this. If the information is not correct and needs changing it can be altered online through the option in the portal to 'update your personal details' (including updating your address, telephone and mobile phone numbers). The Members Portal also gives more information of all our current groups and lets you know for which groups you are currently a member. If you prefer that this is done for you then please contact the Membership Secretary.
