Do you fancy being a family history detective – finding out who your ancestors were, their occupations and why they lived where they did.

The group will cater for those who are new to family history or have very little or some experience. Maximum group size will be 6, this will enable us to move at a faster pace (not too fast) and ensures everyone can be heard with their questions and to share their stories, photos etc. The course will consist of 6 (2 hour) sessions.

We will cover how to START A FAMILY TREE, discuss ONLINE FACILITIES provided by Ancestry, Findmypast, British Library Newspapers and similar websites, how to GET ORGANISED with family history software packages, how to input your ancestors’ details and build trees, keeping well-organised notes and so much more.

The course is currently being updated and it is hoped to have it ready for late Spring 2025. It will be held in the Brampton area
